Our gift to Dahlonega's Rainbow Children's Home

The ladies of Achasta regularly provide dinners to the young residents at Rainbow Children's Home in Dahlonega, GA.  Rainbow Children's Home exists to provide hope, security, and opportunity to girls ages 12 to 17 who have suffered abuse and/or neglect.  To learn more, click on this link:  http://www.rainbowchildrenshome.org/

ALC member Peggy Corbin is one of  the current Community Outreach chairs and responsible for arranging Rainbow Children's Home Dinners.  Please contact her to learn more and volunteer in this effort.  Following is a message to the volunteer cooks:

Thank you all very much for volunteering to prepare dinner for the children at the Rainbow Children's Home. These children eat a lot of fast-food, so a home cooked meal is very appealing to them. We usually try to provide an entrée, vegetable, bread, and dessert. Remember to use disposable pans and try to have your meal there between 5:30 to 6:00 p.m.

If you aren’t familiar with the location, turn as if you are going to the library and there will be an alley on your immediate right, behind the cleaners. Turn right onto the alley and the house is the first one with the picket fence.

We suggest you contact RCH at 706-265-5601 on Monday morning to see how many you will need to cook for and to let them know when to expect you.
